I would post more photos, but my Iphone sucks...yes, it does! After the kids went to school, I did my typical run to Whole Foods, met Shalini for coffee, and hit the sale racks at Gap and J. Crew for some spring basics. Great deals at Gap! Now it is time for school pick ups, and swim team...and of course I spent too much time on Twitter.
Whole Foods will be selling limited quantities of this cloth bag, designed by Anya Hindmarch. I just read that they go on sale today in N.Y.C., not sure if they will be available in the San Francisco Bay Area yet. What a great way to encourage people to care more about the environment and style !
We took a family outing to the big Whole Foods, as Beckett calls, it in Los Altos. I went off to pick up some smoked turkey, and came back laughing. I found these napkins, and had to have David take a photo. I am sure he appreciated the sentiment. (But not enough to spend the 4.49 price tag. ) If you can not read it, the lovely housewife on the cocktail napkin is saying, "Food has replaced sex in my life, now I can't even get into my own pants". Nothing like a napkin to make you laugh. I think I need to get out of the house more often !
This is our favorite bread. Aunt Nina and Uncle Norm introduced us to Judy's organic, vegan bread, and we have been fans ever since. If this was Twitter, it would read, Beckett and I are eating bread with our salads, good bread. You can find it at Trader Joe's, as well as Whole Foods.
" Oh Mommy, isn't this place beautiful ! " This is what Darrow said as we drove into the underground parking at Whole Foods. You can say beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, or I have brainwashed my kids. Whole Foods is a temple to me. I do make a pilgrimage to see the W.F. in just about every U.S. city I visit. We were there tonight to pick up fruit for Noah's science project. We picked out healthy snacks, fruits and had ourselves a merry time.
Beckett and I went to Whole Foods to make our salads after Spanish class, as we do every Thursday. I am a devoted W. F. shopper, probably there once a day for something. I love the place. However, I was shocked today when Beckett's box of watermelon rang up at $7.35. I guess I should not let my five year old roam through the salad bar at W.F. anymore. I will be making his salad next week.
I was in Whole Foods today, and noticed some really cute baby clothes. The new WF has an entire organic baby clothing section. Eleven years ago, I had to special order organics for Julian. Oh how the world has changed. I was thrilled to see a display of Green Babies designs. Not just because of the original designs, but because of the memories it brought back to me.I bought Julian a Green Babies romper when he was little. I bought it at a street fair on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. I loved the romper, and ordered another one from the designer. I am thrilled to see how much this company has grown.
