This stack of guide books makes me look a bit obsessive .... and they are all the new books. There is a stack of older guides on a book shelf. Not sure what I hope to learn by reading all of these. I think I may have over done the whole guide book thing! Now to focus on what to pack. Perhaps learning the languages would have been a better use of time.

I have always wanted to post one of these "What I Wore" type of posts. I enjoyed Mary Tsao's suburban housewife edition of what she wore .Whenever I get around to taking the photo, I am wrinkled and dirty. I finally did it. (Thanks to Julian and the Iphone.) I decided that I will post on days when I am wearing what I think is a great sale find. In the above photo I am wearing a Gap shirt dress that was marked down to $ 20.75. The Joes's Jeans were half price on the Anthropologie sale rack years ago. Share your great finds with me!
I have been collecting vintage tea towels. I am not sure why, but I enjoy putting them out when we have guests. I was reading blogs, when I discovered Lark. The handmade products are delightful, and unique. Too bad she is all the way in Australia ! Products can be ordered and shipped . I think I need to live by the motto on this tea towel.
Julian and I took a trip to Nantucket for the day. We happened upon quite an event, the Lilly Pullitzer sidewalk sale. I do not wear Lilly Pulitzer, and should not wear it. Pink and green are not my colors, and I can not pull off the look. I am much more comfortable in black and gray ! However, I could not pass up the chance to rummage through the sale and join in the frenzy.
Darrow and her cousin Ruby wore matching Wati dresses to the Harwich Children's Theatre tonight. My mother in law takes the kids to a show every year while we are on the Cape. A great tradition.
