So my Iphone finally sent this lovely photo of me sweeping the leaves in front of the house. I do not have a rake, so had to use a broom. The kids were hoping to jump in the pile, but kicked it instead. As you can see, the weather is below 72 degrees, so I needed Uggs. The seasons do change in Northern California!

Today was one of these, "Do I wear cashmere or cotton ?" kind of days. It is warm in the sun, yet when a cloud appears it feels like fall. My friend Carolyn and I decided to have lunch outside today, and enjoy what may be a limited time left for alfresco dining. I continue to be a big fan of the local and organic offerings at the cafe. Oh yes, we did take a peek at the art as well!

The kids decided that it was time for hot cocoa this afternoon. We stopped by Satura for cocoa and chocolate croissants. I am still waiting for Satura to create a dairy free treat. It feels like fall here these days.

I can not cook, so I brought some wine to a good bye BBQ tonight. I am sad to say good bye to a great family. They are leaving Stanford for a position at Harvard. Why is it that I always bond with folks right before they move!
