I realized yet again that I am indeed an opinionated person- especially when it comes to style or lack there of... I attended a great Nordstrom fashion event last night. Great escape from the family, and I do enjoy seeing what they think I should be wearing. But why should I listen to what a sales person thinks that I should wear- I am happy wearing my black and grey, my unflattering cropped wide leg pants- with flats. That's just me. Please no too tight, turqouise tops, trying too hard to be sexy Mom outfits for me- I look awful in bright colors... I do not care if leather is in, I am not wearing a leather jacket over a sequined tank, unless I have a guest role in the Sopranos. Betsy Johnson dresses on post baby bodies scare me. (I did wear those when I was in my 20's living in S.F. ) The one item I did love was of course ,from Marc Jacobs. A bit too pricey for me- maybe Anthropologie will have something similar on their sale rack.
I love Marc Jacobs designs. If I actually had some place to wear this dress, I would run to Neiman Marcus
and buy it. Oh, I do have some place...the upcoming Palo Alto Black and White Ball. Then I would be buying a dress to help a charitable cause. I am always happy to help a charity.
I remember reading about this service- borrowing couture hand bags, but never actually saw the site. I love to shop, but this seems to take addictions to a whole new level. Who is paying 60 dollars a week to rent a Marc Jacobs bag, the girls from Sex and The City ? I love this bag, but for a few weeks of rental, it may be wiser to find a copy at a store like Banana Republic. Great bag. I will add this to my holiday wish list.
