I usually drive my little car. I hate the word minivan, hate the idea of being a stay at home Mom driving a minivan. I am convinced that I look ten pounds heavier when I drive our Sienna. But the car is quite useful, especially when Beckett brings a playdate home. While driving to school today, I passed Steve Young, (the former 49er) driving his minivan. He drives a Sienna too. So if it is cool enough for him to drive, it should be cool enough for me too !
I just love this stuff ! Now I can send the little ones to school with their favorite sandwich and not kill any of their class mates . Try it !
I have fallen back in love with J. Crew. ( I wrote about it on my other blog.) Their fall designs are wonderful.
Check out their kids line, Crew Cuts. I am hoping that Darrow will do some back to school shopping at J.Crew. I wonder if she would wear this great dress for the first day of school ...
Not matter how trendy he may be, my kids can not get enough of Julius, the Paul Frank monkey. Beckett is a collector off all things Paul Frank. We recently bought a back pack and lunch box with Julius on it for his first day of kindergarten. All of my kids will wear Paul Frank clothes- I can not say that about any other designs.Last night while in town, the kids found a shop (Jackie's in Chatham) that sold "monkey shirts", as Beckett calls them, and various monkey accessories.
(here is where I would insert cute photo of kids in matching monkey shirts, if I had taken one.) I came upon this contest on Black Wagon. Next rainy day here on the Cape, I will have my kids try to design their own Paul Frank shirt.
You can just never have enough monkey shirts now, can you !
I was in the Gap in San Francisco today, and found Product Red for kids. There was a great assortment of shirts, sweat shirts and, tank tops for babies and kids up to a size 12. Julian and Noah loved the styles, it is rare to find a style that they both agree upon. I picked up shirts for all of the kids, and we decided that they would wear these for our annual family photo on Cape Cod. According to the sales girl at Gap, these items will only be featured in select stores. There are a few choices online as well.
I saw this cute back pack at SF MOMA last week in the gift shop. I should have bought it for my niece Sophia. She is turning two, and this is the perfect size back pack for her. It can hold some snacks. I went to the site, and saw the whole collection. I am hoping that I can find one locally before her party this Sunday.
I wish that they made shoes in this size for Darrow. Skimbaco carries these shoes, and we had them at our last fund raising sale. Not only are the they cute, but they are soft and flexible.
I saw that Camper was making kids shoes while we were in Spain. I just saw them in L.A. too. I have to say that they are adorable. Cutting edge kids comfortable shoes. I am tempted to buy Darrow or Beckett a pair, but will wait for them to go on sale. I refuse to pay eighty dollars for shoes that my kids will destroy. They are fun though .
