I am burning a L'occitane Green Tea candle right now. Not only does the smell relax me, it reminds me of the soaps from my favorite little hotel in Paris, The Hotel Therese. Now that I am not able to go to Paris this weekend, everything is reminding me of Paris. The trip was just not meant to be. Between the weather there, my hectic schedule with the kids here, and my sister's schedule, the trip did not seem even worth attempting. For six days of babysitting coverage, I would have only had four days to enjoy Paris. (Hey, that seems like enough time now. ) I regret my decision not to go, but know I will regret going even more. Our holiday schedule is nuts, I am useless with jet lag. So I will whine, I will feel sorry for myself, and search for all things French over the next week. We will have baguettes and jam for breakfast, dress well, have French wines-- what else can I do to fulfill my need for all things Parisian ?
