After 5 weeks of a broken foot, I finally drove. I squished my broken foot into an Ugg boot and drove. My destination of course involved food, breads for dinner from the Mayfield Bakery.

So here is a blurry picture of Noah from our lunch at Absinthe. We all enjoyed a lovely meal this past Sunday in the city. Before lunch, I took a less than graceful tumble down the last few stairs. Although I was in pain, I insisted that we go in to the city, I wanted my Absinthe burger. So we ate lunch, made it through half of the youth symphony, and off I went to Urgent Care. I have a fractured foot, with some torn ligaments...three weeks of no driving. I look forward to getting back to Absinthe !

Julian took a few of our olive oils out for a tasting tonight. It is interesting to see what different oils we all prefer.

We just spent the afternoon in Emeryville learning about and tasting amazing handmade chocolates. I was already a big fan of Charles Chocolate, they are local, use local ingredients, and make their chocolates by hand. After meeting Charles himself, I am even a bigger fan. It is great to see how passionate Chuck/ Charles is about creating a product that he truly believe in and enjoys. ( So are you wondering how we ate there with our food allergies ..there are dairy free options, and nut free options.)

The kids enjoed creating their own salads tonight at Sprout. It is great to have a healthy eating choice in downtown Palo Alto.

The kids decided that it was time for hot cocoa this afternoon. We stopped by Satura for cocoa and chocolate croissants. I am still waiting for Satura to create a dairy free treat. It feels like fall here these days.
