This is my favorite bag, my Marc Jacobs nylon tote. A pen leaked all over the bottom and has stained and destroyed it. I tried not to freak out too much in front of the kids, but I am sad. I tried using Shout wipes and made the stain larger, and stained my hands. Any ideas on how/ if there is a way to save my favorite bag ? The stain is all over the bottom... waah!

I am thrilled to be part of a new blog. Two of my friends from the Silicon Valley Moms Blog have just launched a new blog, S.F. Bay Style. I am honored to be part of this new blog. S.F. Bay Style covers local fashion and social events, as well as all the latest fashion, travel, dining, and shopping experiences in the area. I look forward to do doing my share of "research" for this new blog. Check it out, and let me know if you hear of any events that you think we should post about.
I just love OMIRU. This is a fashion site that has practical information. I can read about the latest trend items, and see choices in a variety of price points. I was sure glad to see that peter pan collars were in...I have a collection of jackets with p.p. collars that I got on sale last year at Anthropologie. I was also thrilled to see that wide legged trousers were back. As many of you know, I am a fan of wide legged pants, and gauchos. (My husband hates them.)
I may be guilty of a "fashion don't" today- I have a dress over wide legged jeans. No skinny jeans for me. I will have Beck (my 5 year old ) take a photo- and you can decide.
I am getting really excited about the Feb. 8th sale that I am co-hosting here in Palo Alto. We now have 17 local designers coming together to support the P.A. schools. Almost all of the designers are Moms. Ten percent of the profits will be donated to Palo Alto Partners In Education. I just can not wait to be in the same room with these creative and successful women. I will post about different designers over the next two weeks...Here is a photo from Dagmar Daley's site.
Hope that some of you VOX folks can stop by!

I have been banned from setting foot on my son's school campus. Not by the administration, but by my son.
He claims that word travels fast, and that a parent sighting can do great damage to one's reputation.
To my credit, I am not , as he says, "one of those Moms in stretchy pants.." but, no amount of cool Momness overrides being seen at school. I was instructed to wear something fashionable if I dare set foot on campus. Apparently the fashionista girls will then spread the word that he has a "fashionable Mom". Gotta love middle school- well, guess I will skip the P.T.A. coffee, would not want to be spotted...
