Just enjoyed a great soy cap @ Caffe del Doge in Palo Alto. True Italian coffee.They even have a cafe in Venice.

Today is day # 2 of my coffee crisis. With a broken carafe, and a new carafe en route from Amazon, I have no coffee maker. Julian went and bought me a coffee this morning at the Starbucks across the street. ( Isn't that the sweetest gesture ever!) That is not enough caffeine for me. I usually have about four cups to start the day. I dug out my 15 year old Bodum, and have just made myself a strong cup of Blue Bottle coffee. I have to say, it is pretty tasty.

I have found vegan pastries at Peets. They have been really tasty too.The guy there says that they are from the "Raison De Etre" bakery in S.F. Below is my half eaten double chocolate vegan muffin w/ my soy cap. Perfect before dinner treat.
I love coffee. It is one of my favorite things, right up there with my family, and shopping. I start every morning with a few cups of Peets coffee house blend. Thats what I have done for years. I often wonder if I need a fancier coffee maker to truly enjoy my morning drug. I have a plain old Krups. It does not do anything other than make coffee. To those of you with fancy machines, was it worth it ? Should I invest in something that grinds, brews, warms, retains aroma, and will stay warm for hours. I would like to not have to re-warm my coffee in the microwave after I drop the kids off, maybe I need one of those metal carafe thingies...So many choices.
