I had a birthday party for myself today. Of course my real birthday is tomorrow, but I do not have a sitter to help me, so I threw my "Birthday Bagel Bash" this morning. I needed an excuse to see the many friends I never get a chance to see.My birthday seemed like a good excuse for a get together. (All about me !) I feel so lucky to be surrounded by so may great women. There is never enough time in my day to really connect. There was not enough time today to chat with everyone either. I will have to find another excuse to have people over. Beckett enjoyed seeing many of his friends. It was a birthday party playdate .Julian was thrilled that two of my friends brought over Vegan cupcakes. Mary made boston creme pie cupcakes, and Jennifer brought over mini buttercream vanilla and chocolate cupcakes from her new business.I have never had more amazing cupcakes ! I did say "No Gifts", but my friends did not listen. I was given bouquets of tulips, daffodils and lavish gifts. (Beck attacked the Godiva chocolate tonight.) I did not want my party to end.I have to say, throwing myself a party was a pretty good idea- I may have to do it again.Oh, I turn 39 tomorrow. Not 40 yet !
